About Academy

The Yemen Academy of Oil and Gas Engineering is a private academic institution based on the laws and regulations of the Republic of Yemen, headquartered in Sana'a. The Ministerial Decree No. (127) of 2017 will be issued by the Ministry of Technical Education and Vocational Training .

The Academy logo consists of the shape of an oil facility at the top of a burning flame originating from an open book and around the wheel of industry and written within it the name of the Academy in Arabic and under the form of the logo of excellence within it written Academy name in English and the logo symbolizes the rotation of the wheel of industry and good and development and a symbol of economic life and logo combines Between the heritage of the past and the aspiration for a sophisticated and prosperous technological future on the foundations of technical and cultural sciences.

Establishment Academy

The Yemen Academy of Oil and Gas Engineering was established by Ministerial Decree No. (127) of 2017 issued by the Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Mr. Mohsen Al-Naqeeb on 27/2/2017. The Academy comprises four distinct departments in the oil industry. It was planned to prepare for the establishment of the "Yemen Academy of Oil and Gas Engineering" and provide the necessary capabilities, including the most important laboratories and workshops that were provided with the latest equipment and for the first time in Yemen. The academy has four main departments: Petroleum Engineering, Mechanics, Electricity and Natural Gas Technology Engineering, which were established according to the requirements of the labor market in the oil industry in Yemen.These sections include a number of divisions with the aim of graduating specialized cadres, not generals. This academic work seeks to build confidence in the preparation of qualified and distinguished national cadres capable of competing at the local and regional level, and we are confident that the Yemeni man is able to create a bright future that mimics the ancient civilizations of Yemen, which has taken precedence in all aspects of life.

Dear students and of the Yemen Academy of Oil and Gas Engineering, Welcome to the Yemen Academy of Oil and Gas Engineering, this technical academy, which carries all the torches of science, knowledge and modern laboratory equipment on the land of beloved Yemen, the land of civilization and history, hoping that you will find in your academy all that you aspire to.
It is my pleasure to extend to you my heartfelt congratulations to my dear students on the start of the new school year and wished God the Almighty all success in your studies. And all faculty and teaching staff and the staff of the Academy in the service of our students to overcome all the difficulties facing you, both the educational and administrative process in the Academy in order to create a generation of educated able to take responsibility and give.
I invite you to practice all scientific , technical, cultural activities and student elections so as to create awareness, development and community participation in you and to make each student a valid building block for the desired progress to be achieved in the bright future. I am sure that you will work hard to promote your technical academy to raise its flag whispering in the sky of our dear Yemen to keep pace with the developments of the times and to compete with other technical colleges at the level of our beloved Republic of Yemen.I would also like to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to the efforts of the wise political leadership represented by Dr. Khaled Al-Hawali, Deputy Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, for his efforts to open this unique scientific edifice and the needs he provides to the Academy and overcome all difficulties and create a scientific climate appropriated for students to study technical and scientific research and serve the Yemeni environment and provide the needs of the local, Arab and international market . The Yemen Academy of Oil and Gas Engineering is a scientific edifice established in 2017 aiming to prepare technically qualified cadres in the fields of oil and gas applications and technology to contribute effectively to scientific and economic development
.
We provide high quality training and specialized engineering training to graduate cadres capable of playing an active and innovative role in various aspects of the industrial and service process, and the implementation of student projects that meet the needs of the labor market .

The Academy holds joint cooperation agreements with industrial and oil facilities in the government and private sectors for training and mutual rehabilitation as well as cooperation agreements with local and arab universities.

Education in the first year focuses on building a base in mathematics, physics, informatics, engineering sciences and english language that enables the student to continue studying in his field of engineering and in later years the student moves to the stage of specialization to provide him with theoretical and practical knowledge, engineering practical skills and building scientific thinking , communication skills , problem solving and professional ethics so that he can invest his theoretical knowledge and practical experience in his career after graduation.

Preparation of technical graduates with scientific and technical skills and abilities of high professional quality and personal and cognitive qualities in the fields of oil specialization that meet the needs of the local, Arab and international labor market and raise the professional level of workers in the fields of energy and petroleum industries and benefit from academic experiences in linking scientific research programs to the problems of society .

1) Preparation of middle cadres to ensure the development requirements of manpower with technical and professional competence in the fields of engineering, oil, technology and various developmental fields.

6) Providing scientific advice to governmental and non-governmental bodies and companies in the oil fields and cooperating with them in studying and analyzing oil problems and developing appropriate solutions to overcome them to achieve common goals that contribute to the development of oil industries.
7) Exchange experiences and information with governmental and non-governmental organizations and institutions such as ministries, companies, universities and colleges of Yemen, Arab and international and cooperate with them in addressing common oil issues and development.
